Looking back over nearly 80 years one could say Masons has been through a lot of retail history. The Company first opened its doors in 1927 in a town called Balfour – where it still has a branch, which is managed by the founder’s son. In 1991 Masons opened a branch in Benoni and later in 1998 a third branch was opened in Bethlehem. Masons specialises in all top range appliances, audio and furniture. The Benoni branch is designed around a “shop in shop concept” – each of the major appliances suppliers, such as SMEG and Samsung, have their own individual showroom to display their own product range. Masons has highly skilled and specialised staff members to ensure that all consumers’ product queries are answered. All sales staff are equipped with the expertise to offer the optimal solution to satisfy every customer.
