2012 was a particularly eventful year for Diners Club, and a great time to Belong. Standing out among the many memorable events and achievements are our successful staging of the Diners Club Winemaker of the Year Awards 2012, held in Franschhoek; our special members-only preview of the Oscar-winning movie Life of Pi; and the victory of the South African team at the Diners Club International Pro-Am Classic final. Well done to all involved.
Another of last year's notable achievements was the launch of our Connoisseurs portal: 'a meeting place where like-minded people can converse, learn, share and cultivate their passion for the finer things in life.' If this issue of Signature is anything to go by, 2013 is equally full of promise for those who are always arriving, always exploring, always discovering. In our regular '48 hours in...' features, we take brief but interesting tours through Tokyo, Zürich and Sydney. We then go skiing in the Italian Alps, become enchanted by Bali and explore.
Africa in Kenya and, closer to home, Mpumalanga. We also stop off at some memorable hotels designed by award-winning architects.
Of course, these are just a few of the interesting articles you can look forward to in this issue. As always, there are our regular features, including business profiles, motoring, wine, well-being, property, style, exciting offers and much more. Let your journey begin.
