Account Management Limits


When applying for your Diners Club Travel Lodged Account, your department stipulates the Account Management Limit that Diners Club manages and maintains on your behalf. These limits are usually linked to your monthly travel spend, which assists you in managing your department’s travel budget.

As travel costs are not fixed and fluctuate regularly, it is important for the account management limits to be reviewed every six months. This will ensure that your travellers are not inconvenienced or unable to travel as a result of limits that have been exceeded.

When reviewing your Account Management Limit, please bear the following in mind:

As your monthly management limit is not brought back to a zero value when the Diners Club account closes off, your management limit should be based on a two monthly spend (i.e. doubled).

For example, A management limit of R10,000 is applied to a period from 1 Jan – 1 Feb i.e. 30 days. When the account closes off on the 1 Feb Diners Club does not allocate a new R10,000 limit for the following month. All subsequent transactions will be offset against the initial limit of R10,000 until such time that Diners Club receives payment. The management limit is then adjusted with the payment made.

The request for increasing the management limit may only be signed by the authorised signatory as stipulated on the initial application.
