The Diners Club travel team was excited at
yet another opportunity to network with the travel industry
at the various ASATA Showcases which took place throughout July
2008.
The Showcase allowed the team to highlight the Diners Club Travel
website and all that it contains in order to help support the
TMC with the information that they might require – from
travel insurance to operational issues and Diners Club Advantage.
The travel team thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the attendees
at the showcases countrywide and feel that there is tremendous
value in these educational forums – ensuring that both
TMC’s and suppliers remain up to-date with product information
and operational knowledge.

ASATA workshops
Diners Club was one of the sponsors of the ASATA Winter Warmer
Workshops held in June 2007.
These workshops were very successful and ASATA received fantastic
feedback from the attendees. Attendees reported that they enjoyed
the interactive sessions – which gave them the opportunity
to talk to other agents about their problems and how to solve
them. All topics were industry related and are constantly updated
to remain current. The aim of these workshops was to be practical
and hands-on. They tabled examples of day to day procedures
which travel consultants need to address. Among the issues included
were ADMs and the resolutions governing them, IATA, credit card
transactions and dealing with Customer Complaints in order to
turn them into opportunities.
