GENERAL RULES FOR PROMOTIONS/COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED BY
DINERS CLUB (SA) (PROPRIETARY) LIMITED
1. How to Play
You must log onto the Diners Club website and click on the
merchant acceptance platform which is available on the Personal,
Business Services and Merchant pages.
This platform will prompt you to enter in your details as
well as information regarding the merchant that did not accept
your Diners Club Card.
Once you submit this information it will be sent via email
to Diners Club. On receipt of your email, withstanding the
information is valid; you will entered into the quarterly
draw.
2. Prizes
This a quarterly draw. One winner will draw at the end of
each quarter.
Therefore – a winner will be draw in the first week
of April for the 1st quarter; a winner will be draw in the
first week of July for the 2nd quarter, the first week of
October for the 3rd quarter and within the first couple of
weeks of January for the last quarter of that of the previous
year.
There will only be one winner per draw. The winner has the
option of either a Mont Blanc pen or Woolworths Vouchers to
the value of R2500.00 including Vat. Only one option may be
selected.
The same person may not be drawn consecutively in a row. The
same person is limited to 5 prizes over a 3 year period.
3. General
3.1 The Promoter of this competition is Diners Club (SA) (Proprietary)
Limited ("the Promoter").
3.2 The Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees,
agents or consultants and their spouses, life partners, parents,
children, siblings, business partners or associates are not
eligible to participate in or enter this promotion/competition.
3.3 All entrants in this promotion/competition must be over
21 (twenty one) years of age and must reside in the Republic
of South Africa. No person under the age of 21 (twenty one)
years may buy, sell or in any other way obtain or dispose
of an entry form or ticket in respect of this promotion/competition.
3.4 All information relating to this promotion/competition
and published on the entry form, ticket or on any promotional
or advertising material forms part of the rules of the promotion/competition.
3.5 No entry form or ticket will be considered to be valid
until a validation process has taken place. Entries are only
valid if full details of the entrant have been provided on
the entry form or on the ticket. The prize will only be awarded
to a winning entrant upon the production of a valid entry
form or ticket. In this respect valid member details as well
as valid merchant information.
3.6 The entry form or ticket has no monetary value and is
not intended to be nor may it be sold in any manner.
3.7 The prize winners of the competition shall be chosen by
means of a lucky draw during the first week of April, July,
October and January to take place at the premises of the Promoter,
situated at 35 Symons Road Auckland Park 2029. All entries
must be received by the Promoter on or before 12h00 before
the 31 March, 30 June, 31 September and 31 December in order
to qualify for the draw. Prize winners will be notified in
writing and their names will be published in publicity releases,
the nature and manner of such releases to be determined within
the sole discretion of the Promoter.
3.8 The contract arising out of this competition is subject
to these rules and those contained on all promotional and
advertising material, the entry form or ticket.
3.9 In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter
will be final and binding on all aspects of this promotion/competition
and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.10 The Promoter assumes no liability whatsoever for any
direct or indirect loss or damage arising from an entrant’s
participation in this promotion/competition or for any loss
or damage, howsoever arising. The prize winner(s) indemnify
the Promoter and hold the Promoter harmless for any loss,
damage, harm or injury which the prize winner(s) may sustain
as a result of any claim which may be made against it by any
third party, whilst participating in this promotion/competition.
3.11 The Promoter will be entitled to publish the winner's
name and photographs in any advertising, promotional, print,
point of sale or public relations material for a period of
12 (twelve) months from the date of the lucky draw, provided
that the winner consents in writing to such usage (which consent
cannot be unreasonably withheld), after having being publicly
announced as the winner of this promotion/competition.
3.12 If required by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the
Lotteries Board or for whatever other reason, the Promoter
shall have the right to terminate this promotion/competition
with immediate effect and without notice of such termination.
In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which
they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledge
that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever
against the Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees,
sponsors, agents or consultants.
3.13 All entrants, by entering this promotion/competition,
agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3.14 Prizes are not transferable and any prize not taken up
for any reason will be the subject of a separate draw and
shall be allocated in terms of this promotion/competition.
3.15 Prizes will not be exchanged for cash amounts or for
any other prize other than the prize offered in terms of clause
2.
3.16 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize
with another prize of similar commercial value.
3.17 Entry forms or tickets will be judged null and void if
stolen, illegible, mutilated, altered, misprinted, defaced
or tampered with in any way. The Promoter will not be responsible
for any lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed entry forms or
tickets.
3.18 This competition is valid until such time as Diners Club
decides to discontinue the quarterly draws attached to the
merchant platform.
