Merchant Authorisations

All Diners Club transactions must be authorised, regardless of the transaction amount.

• If you process transactions electronically, once you swipe the card, your POS device will automatically obtain authorisation and the authorisation number will be reflected on the transaction slip.

Manual
• In the event of you POS device not being able to process a transaction, manual transactions allow you to process a card transaction without swiping the card.
• This function should be used with caution and our authorization centre should be contacted prior to processing all manual transactons
• In the event that you are processing a manual transaction, our authorisation centre should be contacted directly.

Our authorisation centre is available 24 x 7 x 365 for your convenience on 011 358 8500.

Please have the following details handy when calling for an authorisation:

• Diners Club merchant number
• Card number
• Expiry date
• CVV number (3 digits on the back of the card)
• Amount
