ATM Cash Withdrawals

We are pleased to introduce – ‘PIN OVER IVR’ to the Diners Club members. You can now receive your new ATM PIN number for cash withdrawals via your cell phone through Interactive Voice Response (IVR). This convenient service enables you to obtain your PIN anywhere on any day with no dependency on the Standard Bank branch network.

Steps to obtain your Pin number:

1. Using your CELL PHONE, dial:
0860 346 377 [if in South Africa] or
+27 11 358 8406 [if Outside of South Africa]
Please note that you must have international roaming enabled on your cell phone in order to make use of this facility.
 
2. Then select:
OPTION THREE for IVR Pin Play back
Accept the Terms and Conditions to continue
 
3. Then complete the authentication process by
Entering your 13 digit identity number and,
select OPTION ONE to confirm this.
 
4. You must:
Enter the Diners Club Card number of the card you require the pin number for.
Then select OPTION ONE to confirm the card number in order to proceed further.
 
5. The Voice Prompt will then prompt you to:
Enter your three digit CVV NUMBER (found at the back of the card).
You then select OPTION ONE to confirm this number.
 
6. You will then be prompted to enter YOUR 10 DIGIT CELL PHONE NUMBER followed by OPTION ONE to confirm this.
 
7. Once you have been successfully authenticated
A 5 digit One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your cellphone. This OTP is valid for 30 minutes only.
You must enter your five digit OTP using your cell phone keypads.
You must then select OPTION ONE to confirm the five digit OTP.
 
8. Once the five digit OTP has been confirmed, the pin number will be voiced to you via the IVR
 
9. You will then be able to use the new pin number to transact at any of the ATMs*


Please note: if you change your cell phone number or service provider, you must advise the Diners Club Call Centre at 0860-DINERS (346377) (as soon as possible as this could have an impact on obtaining a PIN number using the IVR.) *Remember that as from the 1st of July, Diners Club® Members travelling to North America and the Caribbean may only use ATMs that display the PULSE acceptance mark to withdraw cash using their
Diners Club cards.

Diners Club Members travelling to countries other than North America or the Caribbean need to
look for the Diners Club International acceptance mark rather than the Cirrus acceptance
mark, since Cirrus will no longer be the acceptance mark for Diners Club International.

Important to please note that in South Africa, the existing ATM network remains.

You can now withdraw cash from over half a million pulse ATM's worldwide. Your international withdrawal limit is R5 000 daily and R25 000 per calendar (per billing cycle) month. A service fee of R25 will be levied per international ATM withdrawal plus a 4% interchange fee on the value of the cash withdrawal. (The interchange fee is charged by the foreign Diners Club franchise at their discretion).

Locally, you may draw up to R2 000 daily and up to R10 000 per calendar (per billing cycle) month. Service fees levied are R3.50 + 1.03% per local Standard Bank ATM withdrawal, R10.50 + 1.03% per local non-Standard Bank ATM withdrawal.

To obtain your PIN, simply visit your nearest Standard Bank branch in South Africa.
