| Diners Club pioneered the development of
the Comma Separated Variable file (or CSV file) which opens
up into an Excel document containing all the transactional
data required to reconcile travel and entertainment expenses,
as well as providing the ability to incorporate this file
into an existing financial system. Capturing time and errors
are both significantly reduced, and accuracy of information
is assured.
Many of our corporate clients’ Travel Management Companies
already receive weekly, daily or monthly CSV files via email
which are very beneficial to them in the reconciliation of
their clients’ accounts.
Recently the CSV file format underwent a “facelift”.
All steps that were previously required to open the old CSV
version have been eliminated. In addition, the fields in the
new CSV file are already formatted, meaning that dates and
values are reflected in the correct format. The new files
also contain column headings.
These CSV files are now available directly via Diners Club
Advantage – at the click of a button the on-screen invoice
opens up directly into an Excel document.
